Dee is a female vocalist, composer and producer from the Netherlands. She writes, arranges and produces all of her music herself. While she collaborates closely with international top musicians and engineer Tom Gelissen, her sound is unmistakably her own.

Inspired by recordings from her childhood -often produced by Quincy Jones- Dee aims to capture a spacious soulful sound combined with an old-fashioned approach towards songwriting. She focusses on strong melodies, supported by surprising harmonies, all while maintaining a strong groove.

She records and mixes the old-fashioned way, working exclusively with real instruments and carefully selecting the best musicians for each part. Backing Vocals with unusual voicings are an essential part of her arrangements.
